USA Shipping Update

Notice to all US customers

Update: 29 August 2025

Royal Mail have now resumed their US shipping service, so orders can be dispatched as normal again. We are now working to clear our queue - if you have placed an order this week, it will be shipped on Friday or Saturday.

Published 27 August 2025

On 30 July 2025, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order changing how goods are imported into the USA. From 29 August 2025, these new rules apply:

The $800 duty-free allowance has been abolished. Every import into the U.S. is now subject to tariffs. For UK goods, the current base rate is 10%.

Royal Mail will suspend shipments to the U.S. between 26–28 August to update their systems.

As a result, all orders placed after 26 August will ship under a Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) service. This ensures packages are delivered without surprise charges at your door.

However, because tariffs are now mandatory on all imports, the extra costs will be reflected in our U.S. prices. These are costs imposed by the U.S. government, not by us.

Please note there may be a slight delay to orders placed this week due to the transition period. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

We will continue to do everything we can to keep prices fair and shipping smooth, and we thank you for your understanding as we adapt to these changes. If you have any questions about shipping, you can always reach us using the chat function on the website or via the email hello@tonephotographic.com.

Thank you for your understanding,

Tone Team
